RESCHEDULED:

AT10. Balanced Literacy Grades 3-5

The workshop will focus on understanding the various components of Balanced Literacy in the 3-5 classroom. We will discuss how to schedule your Language Arts class in order to incorporate all eight components of Balanced Literacy. We will engage in activities that highlight close reading, get students to effectively annotate, utilize Bloom’s Taxonomy to help students ask better questions, help in structuring your class to get ready for guided reading, and offer ways to tie all the components together into one cohesive program. Participants will walk away from the
session with activities they can use the next day in the classroom.

Dates: February 10th, 2014
Time: 9:00AM - 11:30AM
Location: Carlstadt Public Schools
